Microphone and sound

Choose which microphone you use and where your Mac's sound goes, straight from the menu.

Microphone

The Microphone menu lists every microphone. The one in use has a check mark and its name is shown under the menu item. Choosing one changes the microphone for your whole Mac, so your call app uses the same one. With the lid closed, the built-in microphone is off; Bandje marks it.

Sound Output

The Sound Output menu lists every device that can play sound and sets your Mac's sound output. Bandje never changes it by itself.

Some USB microphones have a headphone jack and count as speakers too. When your AirPods disconnect, macOS may send the sound there. Choose your speakers in Sound Output to fix it.
