Mail bandje@neurendal.com. Tell us your macOS version, your Mac and what you were doing. Please don't attach recordings of other people.

Which Macs does Bandje run on?

Macs with Apple silicon and macOS 15 or later. Summaries need macOS 26 with Apple Intelligence turned on.

The other side of the call isn't recorded.

Bandje needs permission to hear your Mac's sound. Open the Bandje menu → More Settings… → Permissions. It shows what's missing and opens the right page in System Settings. Then make a short test recording.

My own voice is missing or silent.

Check the microphone in the Bandje menu → Microphone. With the lid of a MacBook closed, its built-in microphone is off: pick another microphone. Bandje warns you when it hears only silence.

Dictation doesn't paste the text.

Pasting needs the Accessibility permission (More Settings… → Permissions). In password fields macOS doesn't allow pasting; the text stays on your clipboard, so press ⌘V yourself.

Where are my recordings?

In ~/Music/Bandje, one folder per recording, unless you chose another folder. Bandje menu → Open Recordings Folder.

Which languages does it transcribe?

25 languages, including all the languages of this website. See the full list on the home page.

I don't see Summarize.

Summaries need macOS 26 and Apple Intelligence turned on in System Settings. Templates are plain text files in ~/Music/Bandje/Templates.

Can I change the shortcuts?

Yes: More Settings… → Keyboard Shortcuts. Click a field and press the new combination.

Does anything leave my Mac?

Your recordings, transcripts and summaries never do. Only a licence check for the speech models. See Privacy.

How do I get a refund?

Purchases go through Apple. Request a refund at reportaproblem.apple.com.

Is there more help?

Yes, built in: Bandje menu → Help.
