Importing audio and video

Transcribe a voice memo, a WhatsApp voice message, a lecture or a video.

• Tap + at the top of the list and choose one or more files.
• Or share a file from another app, such as Voice Memos, WhatsApp, Mail or Files, and choose Bandje. Bandje says Added to Bandje; the file appears in your list when you open Bandje.
• Or open an audio or video file in Bandje from another app.

Bandje copies the file into a folder of its own, named after the file, with the date the file was made. The original stays where it was. From a video, Bandje keeps only the sound. With Transcribe automatically on, the transcript follows by itself.

Bandje opens common audio formats, such as m4a, mp3, wav, aiff, caf, aac, m4b, flac, 3gp, amr, opus and ogg, and video such as mp4 and mov.

An audio file you put straight into Bandje's folder in the Files app also becomes a recording.
