Summaries
Bandje can summarise a conversation in a form you choose, with Apple Intelligence on your device.
Summaries need a device that supports Apple Intelligence, with Apple Intelligence turned on. Without it, you don't see the Summary tab and Bandje works as usual.
- Open a recording with a transcript and tap Summary.
- Tap Summarise and pick a template.
- Bandje shows the progress. Tap Cancel to stop.
The summary shows which template it used. Summarise again, under the summary or in More, makes a new one with the template you pick. Each template gets its own summary; the tab shows the newest.
The summary is written in the language of the conversation, if Apple Intelligence supports that language. If it doesn't, Bandje tells you.
The model on your device is small. It sticks to what was said, but it can miss details. Check important facts in the transcript.
Templates
Bandje comes with four templates: Meeting, Job interview, Customer interview (product validation) and Generic summary. The template you used last comes first in the menu.
To change them or make your own, go to Settings › Templates, or choose Edit templates… in the template menu.
- Tap a template to edit its name and text, then tap Save.
- Tap + for a new template.
- Swipe a template to the left to delete it.
- Restore the examples puts back the examples you deleted. Templates you changed stay as they are.
A template is a list of headings, each with a line about what goes under it:
## Decisionswith the line "Each decision as a bullet. Say who decided."## Action itemswith the line "Who, what and when."
Keep it to a few headings and be specific: the model has little room. Write "if that was said" when something may not come up.
Templates are plain .md or .txt files in the Templates folder next to your recordings, so you can also edit them in the Files app. With Sync with iCloud on, they are shared with Bandje on your Mac.
