Privacy and network

Your audio, transcripts and summaries stay on your device.

• No account, no analytics, no tracking, no ads. No server of ours.
• Transcription and speaker recognition run on your device.
• Summaries use only the Apple Intelligence model on your device, never Apple's Private Cloud Compute.
• iCloud only if you turn on Sync with iCloud: then your recordings are in your own iCloud Drive, as your other files are.
• Your location only if you turn on Store GPS location. It stays with the recording.
• Everything is stored in Bandje's folder on your device. Delete a recording and it's gone.

The speech engine by Desert Ant Labs checks its licence over the network: about once a month per speech model. It sends a random install ID, the model and engine version, the platform and the app ID. Never audio, never text.

The links in Settings open in Safari. Bandje itself opens no web pages.
